The Ask
As a way of thanking its loyal customers, Accor, a global leader in hospitality with over 4,200 properties in 100 nations, offered rewards to the members of its ALL – Accor Live Limitless program.
The objective was to develop an interactive and immersive experience allowing customers to engage and discover the diversity and quality of their hotels across North American. By bringing still images of their properties to life, they wanted to showcase each hotel’s unique features and amenities, as well as the local attractions and culture of the surrounding areas. The experience was designed to engage, inspire, and thank customers for their loyalty to Accor.
THE IDEA
We developed a sweepstake inspired by the advent calendar theme. Throughout December, members could access the microsite and participate to win a new prize every day.
To enhance the microsite’s visual appeal and interactivity, we refreshed the graphics every day, both for the prizing page and the landing page. We applied a parallax effect to create a sense of depth and movement in the images and highlight the properties across North America on mobile and desktop.
We managed every aspect of the project, from the contest strategy and website to promotional elements and prize fulfillment, delivering a memorable and rewarding experience for the members.
HAPPY RESULT
The sweepstake was a huge success in its first year, earning 4 golds, one silver and one bronze at the prestigious HSMAI Adrian Awards, an international competition that recognizes excellence in hospitality marketing. It became a key element of Accor’s loyalty program and a festive tradition for the members.
As Accor evolved its loyalty program from Le Club Accor to ALL – Accor Live Limitless, we also adapted and expanded the sweepstake to reflect the new brand identity and values. We achieved over a 200% increase in traffic year over year, demonstrating the popularity and engagement of the sweepstake. Even during the covid pandemic, when travel marketing came to a halt, we worked closely with Accor to adjust the prizing and offer alternative ways to express gratitude to the members, especially during the challenging times of the covid pandemic.
